Baseball Recap: Westfall Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Zane Trace, Westfall was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They skirted past the Adena Warriors 5-3. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Caleb Lowe made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Lowe wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Collins, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Westfall's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Adena, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Coming up, Westfall will be playing at home against Chillicothe at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Adena, they will challenge Circleville at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
