Basketball Recap: South Columbus Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

South Columbus and Roanoke Rapids squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but South Columbus had to settle for second. They took a hard 56-39 fall against the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets. The Stallions' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

South Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Roanoke Rapids, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

South Columbus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roanoke Rapids, they will head out to square off against South Granville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
