Softball Recap: Maroa-Forsyth Trojans vs. Pleasant Plains Cardinals
Maroa-Forsyth fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Pleasant Plains on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. It was the first time this season that the Trojans let down their fans at home.
Adelyn Simmons made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two triples, three RBI, and two runs while going 4-for-5. Those triples were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lainey Larner, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
