Shelby Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Belfry Pirates, falling 16-7. One positive for the Wildcats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Shelby Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. Belfry has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Belfry beat Shelby Valley by a score of 17-7 later that day.
