Worth County comes up short despite James Raymond's dominant performance

Recap: Worth County Rams vs. Crisp County Cougars

After a string of three wins, the Worth County Rams's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Crisp County by a score of 56-53. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Worth County in their matchups with Crisp County: they've now lost nine in a row.

Despite the loss, Worth County still got an impressive performance from James Raymond, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of GRANT JUSTER, who scored nine points along with three steals.

Zakariyya Dwight continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Crisp County, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Dwight has scored at least 25% of Crisp County's points. Another player making a difference was Zymarion Hudson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.

Worth County's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Crisp County, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Worth County will take on Colquitt County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Colquitt County comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Crisp County, they will head out on the road to face off against Dooly County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dooly County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while Crisp County is ranked 157th).
