Parkland won the last time they faced Hanks and things went their way on Friday too. Parkland put the hurt on Hanks with a sharp 11-1 win. The Matadors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by eight runs or more this season.
Samantha Martinez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Parkland got a massive performance out of Faith Avila, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. Another player making a difference was Devyn Rodriguez, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.
