Marshall County and Henderson County squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Marshall County had to settle for second. They lost to the Henderson County Colonels on the road by a 45-30 margin. The Marshals' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

It was another big night for A'Tylia Green, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 14 points in addition to seven steals and five assists for Henderson County. That's the most steals Green has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Gibson, who shot 56% from the field on her way to 15 points.

Marshall County's defeat dropped their record down to 25-7. As for Henderson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season.

Marshall County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Henderson County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-55 loss against Danville Christian Academy on the 14th.
