It was a good run, but Cashton unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 64-40 to the Bangor Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Cardinals are ranked 48th).

Cashton's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Bangor, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cashton will welcome Melrose-Mindoro at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bangor, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Bangor Cardinals duke it out with the Royall Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
