Basketball Recap: Sugar Hill Christian Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Carly Golden and Sophia Laughlin + How To Watch

If Sugar Hill Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 44-9 takedown of Varsity Opponent on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stallions fell 39-29 to the White Creek Christian Academy Eagles on Tuesday. The Stallions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Sophia Laughlin and Carly Golden certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Laughlin posted seven points along with six boards and four steals, while Golden scored seven points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Bree Richards was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.

Sugar Hill Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for White Creek Christian Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Sugar Hill Christian Academy and White Creek Christian Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Stallions see the court they'll take on Killian Hill Christian at 5:00 p.m. on December 4. As for White Creek Christian Academy, their break will end when they face Victory Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 5.
