Volleyball Recap: Analecia Curran and Makayla Boone Secure Win for El Camino

El Camino had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the High Tech Mesa Thunder with a sharp 3-0 victory on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant El Camino was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-9, 25-14.

Leading El Camino to victory were Makayla Boone and Analecia Curran. Boone had 14 digs, while Curran had five aces and three digs. That's the most digs Boone has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: El Camino was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in six consecutive contests.

El Camino is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-11 record this season. As for High Tech Mesa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-13.

El Camino has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Lincoln on the 31st. High Tech Mesa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
