Tonopah Valley suffers sixth straight loss at home

Recap: Tonopah Valley Phoenix vs. Yuma Catholic Shamrocks

This season hasn't been kind to the Tonopah Valley Phoenix, who are still winless after their 13th matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 56-14 loss at the hands of Yuma Catholic. Tonopah Valley has struggled against Yuma Catholic recently, as their match on Saturday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Amanda Wiley, who dropped a triple-double on 17 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals for Yuma Catholic. Wiley is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Estes, who scored 11 points along with six steals.

Tonopah Valley bumped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Yuma Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Tonopah Valley will head out on the road to take on Kingman at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Yuma Catholic, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Parker at 5:30 p.m.
