Softball Recap: Byrd Comes Up Short

After flying high against Simpson on Saturday, Byrd came back down to earth. The Yellow Jackets came up short against the St. Frederick Warriors on Saturday, falling 13-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellow Jackets of the 17-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2021.

Byrd's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for St. Frederick, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Byrd will face off against Parkway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Frederick, they will challenge Caldwell Parish at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
