Volleyball Recap: Ardmore Comes Up Short

Ardmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Lauderdale County. Ardmore was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lauderdale County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.

Ardmore's offense was headlined by Kaylee Martin and Alyssa Lee, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Isabella Emerson and her seven assists. Madalynn Woods and Emily Magnusson kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Ardmore's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Lauderdale County, they pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Ardmore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Priceville on the 13th. As for Lauderdale County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Alexandria on the 13th.
