Basketball Recap: Arcadia Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Arcadia extended their road winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Tyrell Wise. The Arcadia Firebirds came out on top against the Delmarva Christian Royals by a score of 62-49 on Monday thanks in part to Wise, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.7 steals per game.

Ryhiem Pettit was another key player, putting up seven points and 14 rebounds. He has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last nine times he's played.

Darius Liles and Malachi Light certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Liles posted 11 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, while Light almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Liles a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of D J Liles, who scored nine points and eight boards.

Arcadia has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Delmarva Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4.

Arcadia won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Nandua at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nandua has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Delmarva Christian, they will square off against Salisbury at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
