Basketball Recap: Yamir Knight-Parker Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Freire Charter

There's no place like home for Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They took down the Freire Charter Dragon 60-45 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lancers also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2016.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Yamir Knight-Parker, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Knight-Parker has scored at least a third of Central's points. Carl Bien-Aime was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 17 boards.

Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

With the victory, Central broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-11. As for Freire Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-45 defeat against Benjamin Franklin on the 21st. Freire Charter has also already played their next match, a 73-71 loss against Maritime Academy Charter on the 21st.
