Volleyball Recap: Western Brown Broncos vs. Goshen Warriors
Western Brown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Goshen Warriors. Broncos fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Warriors since Thursday.
Western Brown wouldn't go down easily and took Goshen into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 22-25, 24-26, 15-11.
Shylah Day paced Western Brown's offense, picking up 13 kills. Day got some help from Lila McCarty and her 33 assists. Finally, Amahni Boone kept Western Brown's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.
Western Brown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Goshen, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
