Volleyball Recap: Cypress Christian Takes a Loss

Cypress Christian's tournament run continued when they took on El Campo on Friday. The Warriors fell just short of the Ricebirds by a score of 2-1. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cypress Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-23, 15-11.

Despite the loss, Cypress Christian still got an impressive performance from RAQUEL HERNANDEZ-RODRIGUEZ, who had 11 digs. ALLIE KATE STOVALL also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Cypress Christian now has a losing record of 3-4. As for El Campo, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Cypress Christian has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Fort Bend Bush on the 16th. As for El Campo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Devine on the 16th.
