McDonogh confirms its tight grip on the top spot by finishing an unblemished season.

No. 20 Severna Park used a 7-0 run in the first half to spark a 13-6 victory over Westminster for its second-straight Maryland State 4A/3A championship.

The Falcons (18-2), who defeated Westminster in last year's title game, got strong goaltending from Camille King (nine saves) and five goals and two assists from Morgan Torggler.

"We told them that they (Westminster) would be ready to go because of what happened last year," said Severna Park coach Carin Peterson, who won her 11th title. "And I think our quick start unsettled them, which was great for us mentally."

Severna Park used good shot selection and quick ball movement to key the attack.

"One of things we focused on was putting every piece of our game together from our offense, to the transitions, to the defenders, to the goalie play," said senior Ally Adams, who scored twice. "Honestly, I think this was our best game all year."

Westminster (13-5) got two goals and an assist from Megan Pettine.

In the Maryland 2A/1A title game, Jenna Misketti had six goals and an assist, and Courtney Laubach scored four goals to lift Fallston (Md.) (14-4-1) to a 13-9 victory over Winters Mill (13-6).

Felice Artuso scored three goals for Fallston, while senior attack Morgan Maier and junior midfielder Sydney Trentzsch each added two scores.

Erin Ricker and Anna Frederick each scored five goals as Cape Henlopen (Lewes, Del.) capped an 18-0 season by defeating St Andrew's, 17-10, to claim its fourth-straight Delaware state girls' lacrosse championship Thursday at Dover High. Jacki Coveleski, Sara Young and Allie Yeager scored two goals each for Cape Henlopen. Jordan Brown also scored once.

St. Andrew's (Middletown, Del.) was led in defeat by Grace Saliba and Helen Cammerzell, who each had three goals.

Radnor wins Pennsylvania District 1 championship

Natalie Miller scored four goals and had one assist and Colleen Packer came off the bench to make seven saves on 10 shots, helping third-seeded Radnor (Pa.) (19-4) to a 14-7 decision over Conestoga for the Red Raiders' second District 1 title in three years.

Miller scored three of her four goals in the first half, helping No. 23 Radnor to a three-goal advantage at halftime. Libby Lowry (three goals), Taryn Deck (two goals), Miller and Shannon Quinn (two goals, two assists) scored the first four goals of the second half.
