Basketball Recap: Dekar Moultry Key Part of a Team Effort in Warriors Win

There's no place like home for Eastmoor Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They took down the Whitehall-Yearling Rams 75-57 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Eastmoor Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dekar Moultry out in front who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Moultry a new career-high in assists (two). JD Broomfield was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Eastmoor Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win snapped Eastmoor Academy's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-10 record. As for Whitehall-Yearling, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

Eastmoor Academy will host Briggs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastmoor Academy is facing Briggs at the right time seeing as Briggs is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Whitehall-Yearling, they will venture away from home to take on Bishop Ready at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Ready will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Whitehall-Yearling surely won't give up without a fight.
