Basketball Recap: Elizabethton Takes a Loss

Elizabethton saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell 62-51 to the Rhea County Golden Eagles.

Elizabethton's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Rhea County, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elizabethton will face off against Happy Valley at 7:30 a.m. on Friday. Elizabethton is facing Happy Valley at the right time seeing as Happy Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Rhea County, they will square off against Soddy Daisy at 12:40 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Rhea County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 games.
