Dinuba had lost three straight headed into Tuesday's match, but Emmarie Rico didn't let it get to four. The Emperors walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Tulare Union Tribe on Tuesday thanks in part to Rico, who had 28 assists and three aces. She has been hot, having posted 13 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Dinuba got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-15, 35-18.

Tulare Union lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jiannah Freitas, who had 14 kills, two blocks, and two aces. Jaksyn Freitas was another key player, getting eight kills, five aces, and one block.

Dinuba now has a winning record of 16-15. As for Tulare Union, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-25.

Dinuba has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Mission Oak on the 23rd. As for Tulare Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Tulare Western on the 23rd.
