Softball Recap: Memorial's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Memorial entered their tilt with Springfield on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Tigers 13-5. The Red Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Memorial got a massive performance out of Liv Miranda, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave Miranda a new career-high. Abby Broz also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Memorial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springfield only posted an OBP of .308.

Memorial's record now sits at 4-2. As for Springfield, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Memorial will challenge Crestview at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 11.4 runs per game this season. As for Springfield, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Springfield Tigers face off against Struthers Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
