Soccer Game Preview: Mount Tahoma vs. Capital

Mount Tahoma hasn't had much luck against Capital recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The T-Birds will square off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. The matchup will give Mount Tahoma their first taste of in-conference action this season.

Mount Tahoma is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of North Thurston. That's two games in a row now that Mount Tahoma have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Capital narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Lincoln 2-1. The victory continues a trend for Capital in their matchups with Lincoln: they've now won five in a row.

Quinton Fisher and Dominic Moreno Gonzalez scored both of Capital's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Mount Tahoma's loss dropped their record down to 1-13-1. As for Capital, they now have a winning record of 5-4-6.

Mount Tahoma might still be hurting after the 7-2 defeat they got from Capital in their previous matchup back in April of 2016. Can the T-Birds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
