Baseball Recap: Loveland Takes a Loss

Loveland was the 10-8 winner over Poudre when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Loveland fell just short of Poudre by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday.

Mason Wenger was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Karter Butler, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Loveland has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Poudre's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

While Loveland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
