Manteno came tearing into Monday's match with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Manteno had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Leading Manteno to victory were Leah Donnelly and Morgan Derrico. Donnelly had 16 assists and two aces, while Derrico had 18 digs and one assist. With that strong performance, Derrico is now averaging an impressive 10 digs per game.

Bishop McNamara's loss came despite strong showings from Camille Czako and Montana Reid. Czako had 17 assists and five digs, while Reid had 16 assists and three digs.

Manteno's record now sits at 28-4. As for Bishop McNamara, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

Looking ahead, Manteno will challenge Streator at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop McNamara does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
