After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Youngker, La Joya Community was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Glendale Cardinals a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Lobos, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

La Joya Community got a massive performance out of Dominik Garcia, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Efren Bolanos, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

La Joya Community is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Glendale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

La Joya Community will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cardinals: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
