Softball Recap: Southern Christian's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Southern Christian had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Wiregrass Kings on Friday. That three run margin sets a new team best for the Patriots this season.

Kimber White spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Charlotte McDaniel, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Danielle French, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

Southern Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-17. As for Wiregrass, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

As of now, neither Southern Christian nor the Kings have any future games scheduled.
