Baseball Recap: Clarkstown South Comes Up Short

Clarkstown South was the 7-4 winner over Nanuet when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell just short of the Golden Knights by a score of 5-4 on Friday.

Clarkstown South got a good showing from Derek Sweeney, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Kenny Johnston made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Trevor Reim also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Clarkstown South's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Nanuet, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Clarkstown South will head out on the road to square off against Harrison at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nanuet, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clarkstown North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
