There's no place like home for Vandalia, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 74-64 win over the Meridian Hawks on Saturday. The Vandals' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Meridian still got an impressive performance from Bryce Brown, who almost dropped a double-double with 35 points and nine boards. That was a full 54.7% of the Hawks' points, marking the third time in a row Brown has posted more than a third of the team's points. Ted Jones was another key player, putting up 12 points.

The victory got Vandalia back to even at 2-2. As for Meridian, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
