Soccer Game Preview: Andress vs. Chapin

The Andress Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Chapin Huskies at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Andress took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Andress who was credited with the win. Andress got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Burges' three.

Andress better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Chapin really gets things going. Everything went Chapin's way against Canutillo on Wednesday as Chapin made off with a 5-1 victory. Considering the Huskies have won ten games by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Chapin pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three contests. As for Andress, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Andress suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Chapin in their previous meeting on February 8th. Can Andress avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
