Mick Evans Game Report: @ Mark Twain

Mick Evans posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Evans and Clopton will take on Wright City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks have some work to do to even out the 1-6 series between these two since April of 2015, but a win here would be a good start.
