Baseball Recap: Parkway Central Comes Up Short

Parkway Central lost against Lindbergh back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Colts took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flyers.

Joe Thuston made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Chorlins, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Parkway Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Lindbergh, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-11-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkway Central will venture away from home to take on St. Francis Borgia at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Colts surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lindbergh, they are taking a road trip to face off against Northwest at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Flyers are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
