De Soto waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Piper Pirates. Considering De Soto have won nine games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

De Soto's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those five contests. As for Piper, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-9.

Coming up, De Soto will face off against Eudora on Tuesday. As for Piper, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, an 8-0 loss against Bishop Miege on the 3rd.
