The NSU University Sharks will head out to challenge the Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. NSU University is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
On Monday, NSU University had just enough and edged out Lemon Bay 2-1.

NSU University got a great performance from Aidan Jacobs as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. The dominant performance also gave Jacobs a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
At the plate, Griffin Pomper was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.
NSU University hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pembroke Pines Charter took on Mater Academy Charter on Friday. Pembroke Pines Charter fell just short of Mater Academy Charter by a score of 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Jaguars have lost by just one run.
Brady Mongera was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
This is the second loss in a row for Pembroke Pines Charter and nudges their season record down to 6-6-1. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for NSU University, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2.
Both NSU University and Pembroke Pines Charter just can't seem to miss. NSU University has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Pembroke Pines Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
NSU University came out on top in a nail-biter against Pembroke Pines Charter in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for NSU University since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
