Softball Preview: Bishop Watterson Eagles vs. Olentangy Braves

The Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Braves at 5:15 p.m. Bishop Watterson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Bishop Watterson is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against St. Francis DeSales on Wednesday as they made off with a 24-4 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Abby Emswiler was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with six RBI, four runs, and one stolen base. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Grace Mayhan, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Olentangy entered their tilt with Olentangy Berlin on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Bears. That's two games straight that the Braves have won by just one run.
Olentangy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Bishop Watterson, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.
