Football Recap: Muhlenberg Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last six contests, Muhlenberg finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were dealt a 42-12 loss at the hands of the Exeter Township Eagles. The Muhls were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

Leomar Brown was his usual excellent self, rushing for 280 yards and four scores while picking up 11.7 yards per carry for Exeter Township. Brown's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 122 rushing yards.

Muhlenberg's defeat dropped their record down to 6-1. As for Exeter Township, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Coming up, Muhlenberg will be playing in front of their home fans against Ephrata at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Exeter Township, they will venture away from home to challenge Hempfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
