Football Recap: Downers Grove North Takes a Loss

Downers Grove North's game on Saturday was all tied up 6-6 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 31-18 to the St. Charles East Fighting Saints. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Downers Grove North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for St. Charles East, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Downers Grove North will square off against Joliet West at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Charles East, they will head out to square off against Wheaton-Warrenville South at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Fighting Saints will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.6 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
