Heritage is a perfect 4-0 against JW North since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Patriots will take on the Huskies at 3:15 p.m. Heritage is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Heritage can't be too worried about heading out to take on JW North: they just beat Citrus Hill at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Patriots narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hawks 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Zach Cedillo was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Cedillo was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

Cedillo wasn't the only one making solid contact as nine players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Johnathan Lara, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base was Lara's first of the season.

Heritage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Citrus Hill only posted a batting average of .276.

Meanwhile, JW North fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against El Modena on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vanguards by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Vanguards: they've now lost three in a row.

Heritage's record now sits at 15-5. As for JW North, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13-1.

JW North's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Heritage has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for JW North, though, as they've been averaging only 3.3 strikeouts. Will Heritage keep running through batters, or will the Huskies buck the trend?

Heritage was able to grind out a solid victory over JW North in their previous meeting back in March of 2020, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
