Volleyball Recap: Westlake Comes Up Short

Westlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Archbishop Chapelle Chipmunks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Archbishop Chapelle can attribute much of their success to Avah Gilchrist, who had eight digs and two aces.

Westlake's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Archbishop Chapelle, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

While Westlake had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
