Football Recap: Boulder Comes Up Short at Home Against Centaurus + How To Watch

Boulder unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 41-0 loss at the hands of the Centaurus Warriors. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Even if they lost, Boulder's defensive line still kept up the pressure with 4.5 sacks. Finn Batey refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Centaurus' side was Batey, who picked up 1.5 sacks, forced two fumbles, and made three total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The critical scores for Centaurus came from Jaden Mack, Carson Thomas, Jackson Roeder, Nicholas Parana, and Jax Lewis.

Centaurus' win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Boulder is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Silver Creek at 6:30 p.m. on the 5th. Centaurus has already played their next matchup (against Niwot), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
