Basketball Recap: Okeechobee Find Success

It's playoff time, and Okeechobee had no trouble coming through when it counted. They secured a 37-32 W over the South Fork Bulldogs on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 40-30 last Wednesday.

Despite the loss, South Fork saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kylee Brooks posted 18 points in addition to six boards and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brooks has scored all season. Vivianna Morales was another key player, putting up a point along with 13 rebounds, five blocks, and four steals.

Okeechobee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-16 record this season. As for South Fork, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-19.

Okeechobee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-4 defeat against Jensen Beach on the 6th. South Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
