Basketball Recap: Triad Comes Up Short

Triad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Greenon Knights 56-21. The Cardinals were probably out for revenge after losing 66-47 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jazzlyhn Ford was Triad's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Mia Lemay held things down on the boards with 14 rebounds. Abbey Overfield took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Triad's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Greenon, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Triad is taking a road trip to challenge Mechanicsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greenon, they will welcome Bellefontaine at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Greenon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
