Basketball Recap: Belvidere North Takes a Loss

Belvidere North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 64-39 to the Rockford Auburn Knights. While losing is never fun, the Blue Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while the Knights are ranked 136th).

Belvidere North's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Rockford Auburn, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belvidere North and Boylan Catholic will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Rockford Auburn, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Freeport at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Freeport is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.3 points per game this season.
