Basketball Game Preview: Springfield International Charter School Bulldogs vs. Pope Francis Prep Cardinals

After both having extra time off, the Springfield International Charter School Bulldogs and the Pope Francis Prep Cardinals will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

After dropping their season opener at home, Pope Francis Prep is headed out to face a Bulldogs team ready to give their home crowd a win. Springfield International Charter School fell 76-64 to Holyoke back in December of 2024. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Pope Francis Prep put another one in the bag last Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Putnam Vo-Tech with a sharp 68-47 victory. Fans of the Cardinals have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Springfield International Charter School came up short against Pope Francis Prep in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 70-57. Can Springfield International Charter School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
