Football Game Preview: Spruce Creek Hawks vs. West Port Wolf Pack

The Spruce Creek Hawks will take on the West Port Wolf Pack at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Spruce Creek is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Spruce Creek's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Tuesday. They breezed past Pine Ridge to the tune of 33-0. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Spruce Creek's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Zion Willis and Elizabeth Phillips, who racked up all six sacks between them.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only West Port walked away with it. They blew past the Titans 27-6 on Monday.

Spruce Creek pushed their record up to 14-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 1.2 points on average over those games. As for West Port, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
