After flying high against Selinsgrove on Monday, Mifflinburg came back down to earth. The Wildcats came up short against the South Williamsport Mountaineers on Thursday, falling 7-1. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Mifflinburg's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for South Williamsport, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.

Looking ahead, Mifflinburg will face off against Penns Valley Area at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 2.2, the Rams 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. South Williamsport does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
