Basketball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Christian Find Success

It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Mt. Pleasant Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They secured a 68-62 W over the East Central HomeSchool Patriots. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their 19-point performance the contest before.

Aidan Brown was a one-man wrecking crew as he posted 29 points. Those 29 points gave him a new career-high. Brodie Knight was another key player, putting up 15 points.

East Central HomeSchool's loss came despite strong showings from Jonas Sinclair-Lee and Jack Taylor. Sinclair-Lee shot 50% from the field en route to 18 points and four steals, while Taylor dropped a double-double with 19 points and 17 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Dungan, who put up 12 points and five rebounds.

The victory got Mt. Pleasant Christian back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Mt. Pleasant Christian will challenge Master's Hand Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Central HomeSchool, they have already played their next game, a 51-46 defeat against Glen Iris Baptist on the 7th.
