Volleyball Recap: Lincoln-Way West Find Success

It's playoff time, and Lincoln-Way West had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Moline Maroons 2-1 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Kara Stigter paced Lincoln-Way West's offense, picking up 15 kills. Stigter got some help from Claire Murphy and her 30 assists. Murphy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lincoln-Way West's win bumped their record up to 21-15. As for Moline, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season.

Lincoln-Way West will challenge Normal Community at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Moline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
