Basketball Recap: Legacy Prep Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Legacy Prep Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 41-28 to the Brentwood Christian Bears. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Brentwood Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anu Oguntade led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 16 boards. With that strong performance, Oguntade is now averaging an impressive 8.7 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Crouch, who posted 12 points and five steals.

Legacy Prep Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Brentwood Christian, they moved to 4-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Legacy Prep Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 30-26 defeat against Geneva on the 5th. As for Brentwood Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 43-20 loss against Hyde Park on the 5th.
