Basketball Recap: Sebastian Blackaller's Big Game Can't Quite Lead High Tech SD over San Bernardino

High Tech SD was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. The matchup between them and the San Bernardino Cardinals didn't end well, with the High Tech SD Storm falling 61-47.

High Tech SD lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sebastian Blackaller, who posted eight points in addition to nine rebounds and three steals. Blackaller has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jayden Dimalanta, who had seven points.

Even though they lost, High Tech SD smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

High Tech SD's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for San Bernardino, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Tech SD will take on San Diego Jewish Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. High Tech SD is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season. As for San Bernardino, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Miller at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
